Update from the Superintendent
I realize there is quite a bit of accurate and inaccurate information in conversation and social media regarding yesterday’s threat. This note is intended to provide you with accurate information.
A twitter account posted a (false) bomb threat against Noble High School. The post also said children and wives needed to be hidden and closed with vulgar language and racial epithets.
I want to thank numerous students for taking the bold step of sharing access to that post, as that is a difficult action for a teen to take. Staff and administration acted upon the information immediately, as the results, though difficult, showed good preparation and resiliency.
I can report with confidence that the perpetrators have been identified, and the full measure of school policy will be applied. I am pleased to also say with confidence that we are working closely with state and local police departments to support their criminal investigations.
I wish to provide my assurances that Noble High School is a safe learning and working environment. Thank you all for your flexibility and understanding as we dealt with this heinous crime.
The information contained in this note is not intended to be confidential. Please feel free to share this and thank students for me.
