Ms. Chloe Stinehour, a 7th grader at Noble Middle School gave a presentation to the board regarding eliminating straws from our cafeterias.  She gave information about the negative impact of straws on the environment and animal kind. She shared great “did you know” informational bytes and took questions from the board.

The Superintendent shared the impact if we went to paper straws (an increase of approximately $4000 over the cost of plastic straws). This has been put into the budget tentatively and we are working with other districts to come together and reduce the straws. This has also encouraged us to look at other options as well that are better for the environment.
