In order for a student to pick up their Chromebook for the 2017-18 school year, the following conditions must be met:
- All outstanding debts must be paid, including previous bills for laptop damage, outstanding library books, uniforms, etc. Most fees have been moved to Myschoolbucks.com
- Parents & Students must fill out and submit the Chromebook Permission Form
- Parents & Students need to review the MSAD 60 Acceptable Use Policy
- Login to your Myschoolbucks.com account and “Purchase” the Chromebook user fee. If you do not have a Myschoolbucks.com account, you may login and create one at Myschoolbucks.com, with your information, and some basic information about your student(s).
it can get pretty annoying to type your password every single time you want to log in to your Chromebook, particularly if you are using a touch-screen type device. Fortunately, there’s a tweak that allows you to use a PIN instead of a password, making the unlocking process much faster.
This new feature is only available in Chrome’s Flags menu, as it’s still currently still in “experimental” stages. The good news is that it appears to be mostly bug-free. And even if it does mess up, it just defaults to password entry, so you’re not completely locked out of your Chromebook.
