The Noble High School Music Department would like to announce an upcoming concert on Tuesday, November 15 at 7pm. Over 200 band and chorus students will be performing patriotic selections. The concert is free and open to the public and will be held in the Hussey Auditorium at Noble HIgh School.
The Band will perform patriotic selections including a tribute to the men and women who are serving or have served in the United States Armed Forces. Also featured is a composition commissioned as a tribute to the first responders to the 9-11 attacks, and first responders everywhere.
The chorus will perform a gospel rendition of “America the Beautiful.” The High School Chorale will perform “Shenandoah,” a hauntingly beautiful American folksong. The Treble Choir will perform “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” a tribute to the Andrews Sisters who made the song popular during WWII. The Chamber Singers will perform “Keep the Home Fires Burning,” a song that pays tribute to military personnel who are serving away from their homes.
In addition to individual songs, the ensembles will combine forces on the finale piece: “Thank You Soldiers” which celebrates patriotism and gratitude expressed through song. This will surely be a show stopper you won’t want to miss!
