An enthusiastic team of teachers convened recently to begin revising and updating the K-5 report card. The goal of the report card revision team is to create a reporting tool that will be useful to parents and students and that accurately represents student progress toward the skills and knowledge outlined in the Maine Learning Standards. Each town has designated 3 representatives to this committee, a grade K-1 rep., a grade 2-3 rep., and a grade 4-5 rep. The teams spent their first meeting examining a variety of report cards from different districts and identifying elements they wanted to be sure to include in our new version. They will meet monthly to continue this work. The hope is that we will have a revised reporting tool by next fall.
